Happy New Year! I’m Aga, the heart and hands behind LOVSKA, and I’m so excited to kick off 2025 with you. Our little sewing haven in Morges is buzzing with creativity and plans for the year ahead, and I can’t wait to share everything that’s coming up.

Let’s start with the workshop—my happy place. This year, I’m expanding our sewing courses! If you’ve ever thought, “I’d love to make something with my own hands,” this is your sign. For beginners, I’ve got courses that cover all the basics—we’ll tackle sewing machines, simple stitches, and even your first handmade project. Don’t worry, mistakes are part of the fun (and I’ve made plenty myself!).

For those of you who are already stitching pros (or at least not scared of zippers anymore), I’m offering intermediate-level classes. We’ll dive into more advanced techniques and take on projects that’ll make you say, “Wow, I really made that?!” Trust me, you’ll surprise yourself.

Growing and evolving the Sewing Workshop

One of the best things about this journey has been connecting with so many amazing people who love sewing, secondhand fashion, and sustainability as much as I do. This year, I’m determined to grow our WhatsApp community even more, by sharing tips, tricks and lots of laughs (and yes, sewing mishaps too). Let’s make sewing cool again—one stitch at a time!

There’s something magical about creating a custom piece. Whether it’s a made-to-measure dress or transforming a beloved but tired garment, it’s like breathing life into something that’ll bring joy for years to come. I love seeing the smiles when someone sees their vision come to life. Alterations are still a big part of what I do too—sometimes a little tweak is all it takes to turn “meh” into “WOW!”

Alteration to the customers wedding dress: shortening the sleeves, total length and cape.

This year, I’m not just focused on teaching others—I’m learning too! Mastering the craft of sewing is a lifelong adventure (why do buttonholes still test my patience?). And let’s not forget my ongoing mission to conquer the French language. If you hear me mixing up “poisson” (fish) and “poison” (poison), feel free to correct me…or just laugh with me. Life’s too short to take it too seriously, right?

Challenge: mastering sewing perfectly rounded scallops and french seams.

I’m also thrilled to be working on a new LOVSKA collection this year! This small but carefully curated lineup will complement our timeless pieces, blending elegance with versatility. Each design reflects my love for quality and individuality, and I can’t wait for you to see (and wear!) these new creations. Stay tuned for sneak peeks and updates as the collection comes to life.

So, what's next?

More sewing, more learning, and a lot more fun. Whether you’re joining a workshop, commissioning a custom piece, or just popping in to say hi, I’m so grateful to have you on this journey with me. Let’s make 2025 a year to remember—full of stitches, stories, and maybe a few sewing puns along the way.

Here’s to a creative, joyful, and slightly thread-filled new year!

Kisses, Aga x
